THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN MAY DAY’S STRIKE ACTIONS!

Since Justice for App Workers launched in February 2022, we have had one goal: to transform the app work industry. And on May Day, we came one step closer to achieving that goal. Thousands of app workers in cities across the US, Canada, and France went on strike to demand better working conditions.

Our movement made headlines, and we sent a message to Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Grubhub, and all the app companies: across the country, app workers are going to keep fighting until we get the working conditions we deserve.

In New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, Hartford, Providence, and more, workers were fired up as we rallied for fair wages, an end to unfair deactivations, a fix to expensive car insurance for app workers, access to health and mental health care, and the right to form a union. We know the challenges of taking on billion-dollar Silicon Valley companies. But when we’re united, those billion-dollar companies are no match for worker power!

As we continue our fight from coast to coast, we will provide updates about how we can continue to advocate and win advances in the app industry.
