Thank you for joining Orlando and Miami rideshare drivers at the airports on December 3 to tell the government that we need action to protect our pay!
Florida rideshare and delivery drivers are struggling with illegal and fake Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, and Uber Eats accounts that are cutting into our earnings. That’s why this past Tuesday, we held a press conference and rally in both Orlando and Miami. App workers stood together to call on the Florida government to immediately enforce stricter regulations to prevent these fraudulent accounts from jeopardizing the safety and security of all Floridians.
For too long, our calls for action have gone unanswered, but we cannot afford to remain silent any longer. We need you to sign this letter, which demands that Governor DeSantis step in and stop the problem of fake accounts in Florida’s app work industry.
We are also calling for critical protections for drivers, including safeguards against unfair deactivation and the establishment of fair pay standards. Rideshare and delivery drivers are the backbone of Florida’s economy, yet we are often left vulnerable to sudden deactivation without warning or recourse. Many drivers struggle to earn a living wage after expenses, and without the necessary protections, we are at risk of being pushed out of jobs we rely on to support our families.
We need to ensure that drivers are treated with the dignity and respect we deserve and that customers can trust the safety of their rideshare and delivery experience. Join Justice for App Workers Florida in urging Governor DeSantis to take immediate action. Let’s stand together so that together, we can make a difference and protect the future of Florida.
In solidarity,
Justice for App Workers
